Convocation Center 895 University Boulevard. JMU Convocation Center, completed in 1982, is used for intercollegiate basketball games, concerts and large meetings. The building, seating 7,612, was the first to be constructed across Interstate 81 from the original campus.
The ceremony will take place in JMU's Convocation Center at 11:15 a.m. on Friday, March 15, 2013. This formal ceremony includes the installation of Mr. Jonathan Alger through which he is endowed with the powers and responsibilities of the presidency.
